Cancellations & Returns (Guarantees) Cancellation of orders not dispatched To cancel an order that has not been dispatched yet you must inform us in a maximum of 2 hours after your order has been processed, you must send us an e-mail to web@opirata.com and include the phrase cancel order, and your order number. You can also call us to our phone 020 8123 7183- (+44 20 8123 7183 if you call from outside the U.K.) a member of our staff will confirm the cancellation of your order. If your order has been paid in advance, you must give us the necessary bank details (bank name, account number and beneficiary) so that a refund can be issued, and any bank charges due to this transaction will be discounted by your bank. As an alternative, after you cancel the order we can leave the outstanding balance in your Opirata account so that it will be available to you for future orders. We will not accept any cancellation done in any other way. Our help line will be available from 9 till 5 Mon-Fri. Note: It is not posible to cancel an order that has already been dispatched. If any of our customers decides to reject the delivery, they will have to cover the cost of the transport. Return of dispatched orders and products. In general terms, there are three possible causes to return an order: 1. Your right to change your mind within 7 days of receiving the goods. Following the EU Directive related to on-line trading, you have the right to cancel a contract in the following 7 days after receiving the item(s). You don’t need to give a reason for the return, and there will be no penalty. It will not be possible to cancel an order of products such as memory cards, optical media, inks, etc, if they are not returned unused and their packaging unopened. This does not affect your Statutory Rights. To cancel a contract and return of the goods received you must do so in writing and to the following e-mail address: web@opirata.com. You should take into account that you will be charged for the cost of the return of the products, and that all items must be safely packed and sent to us. Once the goods have arrived to our premises, and only if all items are in the same condition as they were sent to you, we will refund the amount of your order. This will always be done in the same way as the payment (i.e. Visa, Bank Transfer, C.O.D. or PayPal), and always within 30 days of receiving the goods. 2. Items returned because they are damaged, or incorrect: To cancel a contract, write "Cancel Contract" on a piece of paper with your order details (a printout of an email will suffice).: If at the time of the delivery you notice that the parcel is damaged in any way, and that such damage has occurred during transit of the goods, then you should contact the delivery company within 24 hours of the delivery and ask for an incident number. After this, you should send an e-mail to us at the following address: web@opirata.com, including the incident number, your order number, and a list of the damaged items (if possible, please include photograph). In the same way, if you find that the items received are incorrect, you must inform us at web@opirata.com or by calling our help line at 020 8123 7183 in the 48 hours following the reception of the goods. In this way, we can refund or replace the affected products. If you do not inform us before the 48 hours are over, Media Replacement Services LTD. will not take responsibility for the cost of replacing or refunding any of the goods. 3. Items returned because they are defective: All products sold by Media Replacement Services LTD have a guarantee valid for 2 years from the invoicing date, this includes any repair or replacement of the products, according to the European Law 10th July 23/2003. (This applies to all of our products except for digital items where the item has been downloaded. We regret that we also cannot accept cancellations of contracts for the purchase of video, DVD, audio, video games, and software products where the item has been unsealed, and that this type of products have a different guarantee) All returns of an item (because it is defective or needs to be repaired or replaced) must be communicated to us ONLY by E-mail (web@opirata.com) and always including your order number and the reason for the return) so that we can give you a return number and the instructions you must follow. Please note that Media Replacement Services LTD cannot accept returns if you do not notify us first or if you try to deliver them to us in any other way. Important: The times of reception for these guarantees are as follows: -24 hours from delivery for items damaged during transport. - 48 hours from delivery for incorrect items. -7 days cooling –off period - 2 years* from invoicing date for products to be included in the guarantee. Some manufacturers handle their guaranties by themselves, in those cases we will only handle the first 30 days from the date of reception. *6 months on products that deteriorates by nature or mechanically.
