MMCmobile comply with Version 4.x of the RS-MMC standard, support running at higher speeds (26 MHz, 52 MHz) than the original MMC (20 MHz) or SD (25 MHz, 50 MHz) and 4 or 8 bit wide data bus.

Compatible with Reduced-Size MultiMediaCard, or RS-MMC, a smaller version of standard MMCs

Using the included mechanical adapter to elongate the card, an RS-MMC can be used in any MMC (or SD) slot

Dual-voltage card, support operations at 1.8 V in addition to 3.3 V. Running at lower voltages, on supported devices, reduces the card's power consumption, which is important in small mobile devices.

*Version 4.x of full-size cards can be found marketed as MMCplus, V4.x cards are fully backward compatible but require updated hardware/software to use their new capabilities.
